Tom Edwards is a singer/songwriter from Hiawassee, Georgia
Tom’s musical influences range from blues to bluegrass and his rhythm guitar style with support from his harmonica and strong vocals continue to make him a sought after performer.
Tom’s original music can best be described as Americana acoustic. He is basically a storyteller and his original music is clearly designed to provoke the listener with word and music. Depending on the venue,Tom also uses some electronic wizardry (it’s actually not all that special) to produce background harmonies and added instrumentation.
He performs regularly with his band of buddies, Gnarly Fingers, in the southern Appalachian region of northeast Georgia and western North Carolina where they play a mix of their own music and covers of some of their favorite songwriters like Steve Earle, Joe Ely, Guy Clark and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Tom has recently re-connected with long time collaborator, Terry (Snuffy) Smith.
Tom also performs in Florida and south Georgia and frequently teams up with other musicians for acoustic jams that often turn into bluegrass nights.
